In a very informal intimate setting, Sidney Barnes sang some songs and the attendees had a rare opportunity to have a one on one conversation with him. He has toured as an opener with The Rotary Connection in the 60's for The Rolling Stones, Janis Jopin and Led Zeppelin; Co-Wrote "We Want The Funk" with George Clinton, along with most of the other material on Mothership Connection; toured with Minnie Riperton and Chaka Khan as a backround singer; and the list goes on.... Sidney was backed by The Professors of Soul. Their drummer, Jaze Gartrell, who is a cross between Dave Weckel and modern hip-hop beats; Bassist Todd Edmunds, who currently tours with Jason Ricci's New Blood; and Guitarist Monty Craig, who is a Professor of Jazz Guitar at Clemson University.
