In August of 1976, Paul Rivera founded Rivera R&D in Southern California to provide for musicians and the music industry leading-edge design, development, and manufacturing of products based on the philosophy that you, our client, are the center of our attention.
It has been our driving force, from our early work in the 1970s with the who's who of the studio world, to our consulting work for many of the leading amplifier manufacturers, to today's extensive line of professional products that we proudly hand-build in the USA. Rivera is a privately owned company. We do not have to answer to shareholders. We answer only to you.

Thankfully, in these times when other makers have taken their production offshore, closed, or allowed their products to deteriorate in quality and tone, we have prospered. This again is because of you, our loyal clients. Our continuing dedication to using only the finest of components in robust designs stands the test of time. Purchasing one of our amplifiers is a long-term investment in quality. You will still be enjoying your Rivera product long after our competitors' products are no longer serviceable and have been discarded.

Only Rivera builds an all-tube stereo combo amp, the S120 series. Only Rivera builds an all-tube acoustic guitar amp, the Sedona. Only Rivera had the foresight and innovation to launch our powered subwoofer systems over six years ago. Every product in our line is dedicated to serving players and is designed to meet their needs.

Years ago Rivera R&D was famous for complete effects racks and systems for bands and solo artists like Toto, Van Halen, Lee Ritenour, and many others. We are proud to launch our new Routmeister effects switcher, distilled from our years of signal-processing experience. This one product solves the frustration that many players have faced for years in organizing and controlling their stage systems.

As we have grown, we have expanded our capacity to manufacture absolute top-quality amplifiers. We are now unleashing our new entry-level Pubster and Clubster series of amplifiers, compact beauties that sport all the quality of our more expensive models, with enough features and stunning tone to please the pickiest of players.

For those of you purchasing a Rivera for the first time, welcome to our family. For those of you already in the family, hello again, and we are happy to be of service to you once more.

Pubster 25-110

$799.00

This Pubster comes with 25 watts of 6V6GT power and a 10" Rivera Vintage Gold speaker. Every amp in the series uses two 12AX7 preamp tubes - reliable and easily accessible for service. All Pubsters are built with full plywood cabinets, welded zinc-plated steel chassis, audiophile-quality components, and military-grade construction. Pubsters come with a footswitchable Accutronics 3-spring mechanical reverb, and a 2-function footswitch is provided at no extra cost.

The features don't end there. Around back, an effects patch loop is provided along with an external speaker jack and a line output for recording or P.A. feeds. Like all Rivera amps, our power cord is detachable and easy to replace.

Pubsters are easy-to-use channel-switching amps with a single 3-band EQ section. A footswitchable boost with its own gain control, as well as a second master volume to regulate the level, let you go from a clean rhythm to a fat lead solo at a tap of a toe.

Dialing up clean and distortion tones has never been easier. From Mississippi Delta Blues to Birmingham Steel Rock to Nashville Clean, your tone is home with our Pubster series.

Even though these new models are the most affordable Rivera models yet, each one of these is more than professional enough to use for serious working musicians. Using a pair of Pubster 25 amps in stereo, placing them on a risier or even a pair of stools, allows you to cut even the most demanding small club gig.

For recording, Pubsters can do the job well. Utilizing good mic technique in recording situations, these small packages of excellent tone will lay down great sounding tracks. You can also use the Pubster amps to power an external Rivera 412 cabinet, allowing you to record stack sounds easily.

With our new 25 models, we are using the legendary 6V6GT Tubes for a fat and sweet output stage overdrive character.

Clubster 25-112 Dolce

$999.00

Built small and smart, the Rivera Clubster belts out a rich, all-tube tone that's anything but compact. With 25-watts and a 12"speaker, the Clubster offers two independent, switchable channels, genuine Accutronics® 3-spring reverb, a specially voiced Celestion 70/80 speaker, and high-end features such as an effects loop and line output.

A slant-back front on the rock-solid cabinet makes it easy for guitarists to hear the Clubster without placing it on a chair or riser, simplifying setup and utilizing the natural bass-enhancing effect that comes from having the amp sitting directly on the floor. The Clubster uses an open-back design in conjunction with its Celestion 70/80 speaker to enhance its impressive range of classic, beefy tones.

Ruggedly constructed using an oversized transformer, a welded steel chassis, nickel-plated steel corners, and military-grade components, the Clubster easily withstands the rigors of road and studio. Construction details include a 5/8"-thick, lumbercore plywood enclosure covered with roadworthy black Tolex, and rubber feet and a steel-reinforced vinyl strap handle for extra convenience and totability.
