In response to the demands and desires of four players in Los
Angeles, Rusty Anderson, Joel Shearer, Lyle Workman and Nick Lashley,
amplifiers from ÷13 underwent construction. Once completed, countless
hours were spent in some of the best studios in L.A. listening to every
speaker, cabinet, baffle thickness, box material, box size and mixing technique before arriving at the final models and outfits currently
being offered from ÷13. Within hours of the completion of this process,
models went straight to tracking for Paul McCartney's "Driving
Rain" and Alanis Morissette's "Under Rug Swept".
In the beginning it was producers and engineering teams that first
responded with enthusiasm in the results they were getting with ÷13
amps. Word got around and orders were soon placed from a number of
players, writers, producers, engineers and key music makers throughout
L.A.
This exact process still takes place with the conception and
development of additional models and outfits soon to be offered from ÷13.
How an amp sits in the track...
How it contributes to the magic of the song...
How it works in a live situation...
...have always been, and will continue to be, the sole motivation
behind creating ÷13 Amplification.
It is important to note that through this whole process, my oldest
and closest friend (and probably a better tech than me), Tim Maag, was the
guy I ran everything I did across. Countless hours were spent with him
discussing many of the pros and cons of the circuits in developing these
amps.
I would also like to thank Richard Robinson for his invaluable help
in the beginning. Richard, thanks so much again.

JRT 9/15 w/Tuned, open back 1x12 cabinet made from 13 ply Finland
Birch or in an easily transportable combo. It has a big, focused sound, and is great for
recording and small gigs. - In Stock - $2,550 ea (guitar
included for an additional fee)
Two amps in one?
With an overly stout and painstakingly developed power supply
made to accommodate two sets of power tubes, the JRT 9/15 offers
the biggest sound in a low wattage amplifier heard to date.
Starting from right to left, the single input of the amplifier
(high and low sensitivity) feeds the inputs of two 5879 Pentodes,
each with its own volume control and bendable. Each is voiced
differently: one is brighter with more clean headroom while the
other is gainier and thicker in the low mids. Added to this volume
is a 6 position switch which offers a "bright cap"
selection. The last knob is a high cut for the overall amplifier.
The "Mode" toggle provides a selection of either 9+
Watts with 6V6s, or 15+ Watts with EL84s, offering and exceeding
the best tones available in some of our favorite late 50's
American 6V6 amplifiers, and our favorite EL84/EL34 English
amplifiers.
Don't be fooled by its size; this one sounds huge!

When asked, by Corky James, amongst others, "Can you take my favorite
1959 tweed amp from Fullerton and instead of the controls being Volume Volume
Tone make it Volume Treble Bass, give it more clean headroom, a wider range of
usable overdrive (throw in a little EL 34), make it a little louder with fuller,
tighter low end, and put a master volume in it so I can play at all levels and
dial in and hit the sweet spot of whatever speaker i am using at the time,
mostly a G12M Celestion?"
Sure.
Powered by 2 6V6GT's it's hard to believe the performance of this stout, 11
watt, 1x12 combo that is just the latest in an ongoing tradition here at Divided
by 13 of collaborating with and responding to what players, writers, and producers
ask us to do. Divided by 13 is happy to announce the CJ 11 along with 3 other

Like the Dyna-Ranger, the Joyride is a highly-adjustable, 3 discreet
transistor, warm, organic, and very amp-like sounding overdrive pedal that
offers everything from a subtle bump-up with hair, to punishing,
highly-boosted over-the-top overdrive. With Volume, Treble, Bass and
"Drive" controls, it is very flexible.

The Joyride Overdrive (and Lift) on
Brad Whitford's pedalboard
All the way down to the original glass Mullard OC44 transistor, the
"Dyna-Ranger" is a 5 range version of our favorite single
germanium transistor treble booster from England used by an array of
players from Eric Clapton and David Gilmore to Tony Iommi and Brian May.
Going from position 1 to 5, the "Dyna-Ranger" covers all tones
from the traditional treble booster to more in the middle "woman
tones" to thick and lower Sabbath tones. It is THE perfect sounding
boost/drive pedal.
Rounding
it off, we've added an "onboard" power converting circuit to
allow the use of standard 9V power supplies in place of batteries, and a
socket for the transistor allowing the player to try other transistors
also found in the original versions of the pedal (SKT275, CV7003, Metal
OC44, etc.). Just ask to add any of these transistors to your order for a
try.

It seems to me that instead of designing another great hand wired reissue of
one of the highly coveted vintage amps, Divided by 13's Fredric Taccone took
all of the most desirable elements from the best vintage Marshall's, Vox's and
Fender's, and with the input and ears of some of the best pro guitarists, he
created a line of amplifiers that have the most rich and complex tones you
have ever heard. They are organic and responsive. Fredric makes them by hand
one at a time in his Southern California shop.
The Divided by 13 amps are
arguably the new "holy grail". Just check out Fredric's client list:
