AMT Electronics started with Sergei Marichev, an employee of a Russian Defence enterprise, making electronic music equipment in the old Soviet Union where no Western technology was available. In 1987 when private enterprise began to be allowed, the Asia company was started. After a few years this became AMT and the company focused primarily on guitar effects. The company specializes in analogue distortion pedals and has an extensive range alongside some bass effects and a compressor. Originally these pedals were designed purely by ear as Sergei had no other information to go on and the sounds he has captured speak for themselves. If you need a good distortion pedal look no further. All pedals are 9V battery or DC in and are housed in solid metal casing.
