Eastman Custom Shop archtop guitars feature the outstanding craftsmanship of our Uptown models with upgrades in materials and finish to create beautiful instruments of unsurpassed quality. These upgrades include the finest select AAA tonewoods, wood binding with inlaid purfling, and upgraded tuners with ebony buttons.

Thinline Guitars
These unique 1 3/4” deep instruments come with a choice of solid, hand-carved mahogany or maple backs with solid spruce or maple tops. The maple body guitars sport handsome gold hardware, 7-ply binding on the body, split block inlays and maple necks with ebony fingerboards. The mahogany body guitars come with chrome hardware, 3 ply bindings, dot inlays, mahogany necks and rosewood fingerboards. Both of these guitars come equipped with powerful Kent Armstrong Humbucking pickups that can slip effortlessly from a rich, woody jazz sound to a satisfying, crunchy, vintage rock tone that explodes out of your amp. These versatile guitars neatly span the distance between a fine hollow body archtop and the classic center block thinline model guitar.

El Rey Archtop Guitars (designed by Otto D’Ambrosio)
Taking a slight departure from fully-carved, archtop jazz guitars, Otto D’Ambrosio and Eastman Guitars are proud to launch the El Rey series. These completely handcarved 14” electric guitars are for the player who demands tomorrow’s cutting edge instruments, today. With the patent pending “neck block cutaway” construction, they are ideal for any musical application. The El Rey series features Kent Armstrong pickups, gold plated Gotoh hardware and a 25” scale length. Lightweight and versatile, these handcrafted, solid wood creations come in three different variations and four finishes: classic, sunburst, custom saphire blue, and custom red.

Maple top and Mahogany back, sides, neck. This guitar has two high output pickups, a 3-way pickup selector switch and 4 control knobs (2 volume and 2 tone). The bridge is a one-piece (wrap around type) with an internal block for mounting the studs.

This selection of historically accurate dreadnaught style flattop/flatback guitars has been developed to fill the needs of today's most demanding folk, acoustic, country and bluegrass musicians. Handcrafted using solid, select, highly figured tonewood backs and sides coupled with only the finest spruce tops, these X-Braced guitars are finished off with abalone soundhole rosettes and position markers, gold plated hardware, ebony headstock overlays, ebony fingerboards, ebony bridge pins, and multiple maple bindings on the body, neck and headstock.
